David Herz is the founding attorney of Herz PLLC, the crystallization of his more than three decades as a lawyer. After serving clients through many different types of legal challenges, he has settled into Estate Planning—helping You make the courageous decisions[1] necessary to best care for your people when you can’t anymore—and Probate—helping you through the court-supervised process to settle the debts and distribute the remaining assets of your loved ones.

With David at your side, You will confidently steer through some of life’s most challenging decisions: you will secure your legacy, protect those you love, and plan for the unexpected. Together we will craft a personalized plan that will serve you and leave you loved ones in the best place possible.

David also takes care of those transactions needed for your plan to work, whether exchanging or retitling real estate, or setting up your company, partnership or trust.

David is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, and Israel. He brings a global perspective. He owns—through appropriate structures—real estate in two countries. He speaks English, Hebrew, and German. His children live in Israel and the United States, and he has further family in Europe.

He earned his J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1994, where he was an editor on the Pace Environmental Law Review, chair of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, and editor-in-chief of the school newspaper.

Prior to law school, he obtained a B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University. He earned a Teaching Certificate in Israel. He has a number of other licenses.

David began his career in New York City, moved to Israel for sixteen years, and has now returned to Connecticut. He is active in the Greater Bridgeport Bar and Connecticut Bar Associations.

David’s mission is to offer holistic, client-centered solutions so you can confidently make the difficult choices that will serve you and your family.
